This is an era for mass media with multi-dimensional sensory experience. Through technology, we can gradually excavate the diversity of things from different perspectives. After breaking the original cognition, new experiences come one after another, and same as the sound is. When sound vibrates in the dimension of time, various patterns are generated in space. Have you ever imagined the form of these sounds that stir our hearts? This exhibition is a new interpretation of sound through the power of technology and design. The sound without entity and invisibility is captured by the designer. Through algorithmic design, visual art, media design and interaction design, combined with intelligent manufacturing, designers can transform audible contents into visual aesthetics when breaking the boundary of sensibility. In the exhibition, we used algorithms to interpret the morphological aesthetics of sound waves. "Ripples" and " mountains stream" use parametric design to preserve the beauty of sound. In terms of audio-visual combination, more advanced technologies are used to design and adjust the proportion of sound, so that the sound is playing an important role in the whole art piece. The balance brings more pleasant surprises to the works and impress the audience deeply. The works from this exhibition were created by professors and students of the sound lab of Tongji University.
