It’s Non-fiction today. For today, Science Fiction has become our social reality. Therefore, today, we at Open Media Lab will take a brief break from our intensive work in futurological research and development that has become our history for the past 11 years. And in fact, the subject of futurology, the future, does not really exist. Future, is nothing but the continuation and accumulation of traces of our work now. Contrary to common perception, existence at the moment and awareness of the moment, now, has always been our true core concern. When we shockingly realize that our bodies have been transformed by our technological/machine life, and that we have become post-human unknowingly, that we are investing huge amount of effort in maintaining our Second Existence in our cellphone-based social media platforms, that the unit prices per square meter in Metaverse have been skyrocketing faster than that of our local real estate, we need to hit the pause button, immediately. We will be facing our Non-Fiction, Today, N.F.T. In this exhibition showcasing our brand-new R&D results in art, we will be silently using the double-layered, interchanging virtual and reality ritual sacrifice to send off the God of Plague, so that we can welcome in the entourage of crypto deities; we will be exchanging the youthful and wildly pretty JPEGs using chain-structured auctions behind the virtual online reality; we will be fighting Generative Adversarial Network with our bare-handed imagination... And all that, are but our attempts to break away from the ultimate harmonic oscillation of the Noosphere.
