Exploring the core and boundaries of architecture is the philosophy of the Bartlett School of Architecture. Based on the understanding of architecture and the research of built environment, tutors and students reconsider the versatility and compatibility of architecture, redefine what architecture is and what it could be through the multidisciplinary study, and image various possibilities of advanced architecture and design. In this remarkable year, we reconsidered some of the most pressing issues for the built environment: exploring our insights and ideas on the climate crisis, diversity and inclusion in urban spaces, and how we could recover from the pandemic. This exhibition brings together the academic achievements of different postgraduate programs, including Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2), Architectural Design, Urban Design etc. All works are divided into four parts: Data Links, Whimsical Worlds, Tectonic Innovations and Storytelling, which embody different research interests including digital media, artificial intelligence, new materials, human-computer interaction, and artistic perception. When faced with environmental uncertainty, tutors and students are dedicated to exploring new architectural paradigms that feature the introspection on the social and culture transformation, the humanistic concern, as well as the application of innovative technologies, which will provoke a more profound understanding on “time and space” in architecture.
