The Royal College of Art, the internationally renowned art and design university, provides students with unrivalled opportunities to deliver art and design projects that transform the world. A small, specialist and research-intensive postgraduate university based in the heart of London, the RCA is a high performing institution, a radical traditionalist in a fast-paced world. The RCA's approach is founded on the premise that art, design creative thinking, science, engineering and technology must all collaborate to solve today's global challenges. In FutureLab 2019, RCA will present an excerpt of student works from School of Communication, School of Architecture, School of Design and School of Arts & Humanities. SoA will be showing a new film about their Laboratory for Design & Machine Learning; SoC will bring films from their Animation programme; SoAH will present eight artists’works associated with their research and practice-based projects; SoD will be exhibiting work from their Flight of the Future project with British Airways.

Established in 1837, The Royal College of Art is a public research university in London. It adopts an untraditionally two-year academic system, offering postgraduate degrees in art and design to students from 76 countries. Students come to the RCA in London from across the globe and find themselves part of a dynamic exchange of knowledge around shifts in technology and craft, art and design, communication, science and social relevance, which articulate, delineate and address issues that will affect us all. RCA provides an excellent artistic creation environment for students, offering a large number of studios with professional instructors, multiple audio-visual classrooms and art studios, and its graduates have become leaders across various creative industries. As of 2019, the RCA has placed first in the QS World University Rankings in the Art and Design subject area for five consecutive years.
