Students Works from Interactive Media Arts and Visual Arts
Interactive Media Arts (IMA) encourages students to explore the expressive possibilities of emerging media. Our students are challenged to combine practice and theory, connecting technical skills with historical knowledge, cultural understanding, and conceptual thinking. Our curriculum, community and active learning environment facilitate student acquisition of both conceptual insights and practical skills, encouraging our students to explore their personal interests whilst engaging both critically and creatively with new technologies, which play an increasingly important role in our lives. Visual Arts provide students with technically and intellectually stimulating courses informed by hands-on instruction and academic rigor. As part of a global liberal arts institution, we encourage artistic and critical engagement with the world through the lens of creative and cultural knowledge. Committed to the belief that the Arts play a crucial role in developing global citizens, Visual Arts foster an environment of cross and inter-disciplinary experimentation encompassing local, regional, national and international discourses. The student works exhibited here were made in the following courses from 2018-19 and 2019-20.
